border-bsfJammu and Kashmir administration has ordered closure of over 400 Government and private schools in all five border districts of Jammu region, in the wake of escalated tensions along International Border and LoC. These schools fall within the firing and shelling range of Pakistani troops.

These districts include Jammu, Samba and Kathua along the International Border and Poonch and Rajouri on the Line of Control, LoC. In Jammu district, 174 schools have been closed on the International Border and LoC while 45 schools were closed in Samba district, 84 in Poonch, 30 in Rajouri and 62 in Kathua.

In worst ever shelling and firing along the borders, desperate Pakistani troops yesterday targeted innocent civilian population in Ramgarh sector of Samba district along the International Border and parts of Poonch and Rajouri districts along LoC killing eight civilians and injuring 24 others. BSF and Army gave a befitting reply to Pak firing and exchange of fire at some places lasted late last evening.
