Chief minister is reported to have rejected the resignation of Shivpal.
Earlier Samajwadi party’s Parliamentary Board meeting scheduled for tomorrow to resolve the current crisis in the party has been cancelled.
Meanwhile, Mulayam Singh Yadav has reached Lucknow a day ahead of his earlier announced schedule.
Shivpal Yadav and Ramgopal Yadav both looked calm and poised while addressing the media persons today giving an impression as if nothing major has happened.
However, Ramgopal Yadav raised pointed fingers towards Amar Singh, accusing him of all the trouble in the party but Shivpal, on the other hand said that there is no outsider in Samajwadi Party.
The meetings are going on between the brothers Shivpal, Ram Goapl and nephew Akhilesh separately whereas sources said that CM Akhilesh Yadav is scheduled to meet all of them later this evening.
Meanwhile BJP and BSP have termed the internal feud of Samajwadi Party as a scripted drama.
Mulayam Singh tried to broker a peace deal between his warring brother and son. His efforts, however, seem to have failed to diffuse the tension as Shivpal handed his resignation from all party and government posts to Akhilesh.
On Tuesday, Akhilesh was replaced by Shivpal as Party’s state chief. A day after he was replaced, the Chief Minister stripped Shivpal of various key portfolios.
The turf war escalated with the sacking of Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Deepak Singhal, who is considered to be close to Shivpal, and two cabinet ministers.
However, Akhilesh clarified that there was no rift within the family but hinted at trouble brewing within the government.
In late night development, more than a dozen MLAs and several ministers reached Shivpal Yadav’s house to meet him in Lucknow after he resigned from all party and government posts.
