Japan Coast Guard officials say four Chinese patrol ships temporarily entered Japan’s territorial waters near the Senkaku Islands in the East China Sea today morning. The officials say the Chinese vessels entered Japanese waters off Uotsurijima Island. The ships ignored warnings and stayed for about 90 minutes. Japan controls the islands. The Japan government maintains they are an inherent part of the country’s territory.
