SCThe Supreme Court has granted three more months to the Special Task Force (STF) to conclude its probe into the alleged fake encounter killings in Gujarat between 2002 and 2006.

The STF is working under the supervision of a monitoring panel headed by a former apex court judge.

A bench, headed by Chief Justice TS Thakur, said, investigation in many cases is complete, but it is still to finish in some other.

The PILs in this regard were filed in 2007 seeking a direction for a probe by an independent agency or CBI so that the truth may come out.
