Government today launched an initiative to deliver pure Gangajal from post offices across the country. The programme was launched by Union ministers Manoj Sinha and Ravishankar Prasad at a function in PATNA.

Under this scheme the pious Gangajal brought from Gangotri and Rishikesh would be delivered at the doorsteps of people at nominal prices.

Addressing the function Mr. Prasad said the scheme has been launched within a short span of its conceptualization. He said the plan was mooted on 30th May of this year.

The minister of state for Communications Manoj Sinha said the credibility of postal department is associated with the delivery scheme of Gangajal and it would fulfill the expectations of the people.

“If postman can deliver, mobile phones, sarees, jewellery, apparels then why not Ganga water,” Mr Prasad has said earlier.
