Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has said the BJP will decide appropriate action against state Revenue Minister Eknath Khadse. Mr. Khadse is in the eye of a storm on an illicit land deal and alleged connection with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
Talking to media after a meeting with party President Amit Shah in New Delhi today, Mr. Fadnavis said he has submitted a factual report to him and discussed the matter. Sources said Mr. Shah considers allegations against the Minister serious. The opposition and ally Shiv Sena are attacking the BJP and mounting pressure for Minister’s resignation.
Reportedly, Mr Khadse’s family members bought a government-owned land in April this year in Pune at throughaway prices. The Chief Minister is also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi this evening.
