A day long bandh has been called today by Jharkhand Mukti Morcha in protest against the state government’s new domicile policy ahead of Prime Minister’s visit in the state. Due to the bandh, some stray incidents of violence have been reported in some areas. A senior police official said, suspected bandh supporters set ablaze a bus and a water tanker in East Singhbhum district. He said, district police force has been put on alert in the district and elaborate security arrangements have been made to meet any eventuality during Prime Minister’s visit.
