Central Bureau of Investigation yesterday conducted searches at seven places in Bhopal in connection with Vyapam scam. Searches were conducted at residential premises of suspects in Transport Constable Recruitment Examination 2012 and the Pre-Medical Test 2012.
“The CBI spokesperson said that the suspects, who are retired persons, had acted as Supervisors in Vyapam for these two examinations. They had allegedly played a role in the tampering of the OMR sheets of some candidates who were fraudulently made to pass these examinations.
Searches have also been conducted at the premise of a candidate in the Police Constable Recruitment Examination 2012 at Jaura of Morena district.
Sources said that incriminating documents recovered during the searches. They are being scrutinised for further investigation.
The CBI took over the investigation into the Vyapam scam last year. The agency has registered over 100 FIRs so far.
