Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India attaches high importance to its relations with Iran. During his meeting with the Iran’s Economic Affairs and Finance minister Dr. Ali Tayyebnia yesterday, Prime Minister expressed readiness to further strengthen bilateral relations with the country, including in the areas of trade, investment, oil and gas, connectivity, port development.
Dr. Ali Tayyebnia is in New Delhi for the bilateral Joint Commission meeting co-chaired by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. Mr Modi also recalled his fruitful meeting with President Rouhani in Ufa, on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit, in July this year.
