The Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI conducted searches at the office of Secretary to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today morning. According to CBI sources, a corruption case has been registered against Rajendra Kumar, Secretary to the Delhi Chief Minister on the allegation that he misused his official position to favour a particular firm in getting tenders from various Delhi government departments.

After taking warrants, the agency initiated searches on the residential and the official premises of the Secretary at Delhi Secretariat.

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal claimed that the CBI has raided his office and launched a no holds barred attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

After the  Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted  that his office had been raided by the CBI and directed an extraordinarily sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling him a “coward and psychopath”.

“When Modi cudn’t handle me politically, he resorts to this cowardice” he said.
AAP claims that officials have been stopped from entering the Chief Minister’s office on the third floor of the Delhi Secretariat and the CBI hasn’t given any reason.

The CBI denies raiding or sealing the Chief Minister’s office and claims that it was searching the office and home of a senior bureaucrat in the Chief Minister’s team, Rajender Kumar, accused of corruption in computer purchases.
