Indian High Commission in Islamabad has proposed to Government of Pakistan that it wants to organize transport at own cost for about 20 Indians stuck in Lahore to take them to Wagah, Attari for their early return to India.

The High Commission’s request came after Indian Railways told that Samjhauta Express will not run today due to intensification of agitation in Punjab. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson said clearance of Pakistan Government is awaited in this regard.

Spokesperson’s response came last night in reply to a media query about Indians stranded in Pakistan due to cancellation of Samjhauta Express. Train services are affected due to agitation by farmers in Punjab.
