The full Election Commission team headed by Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi arrived Patna today on a two day visit to review election preparedness for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
The team includes Election Commissioner Achal Kumar Jyoty and three Dy. election commissioners. The Election Commission will hold discussion with top officials and representatives of different political parties regarding polling dates and security arrangements.
The Commission will listen to views of different political parties including BJP, JDU, RJD and Congress in this regard today. The Chief Election Commissioner will meet district magistrates and SPs of all the districts of the state tomorrow.
The Divisional Commissioners will also participate in this meeting. The Chief Election Commissioner will hold separate meetings with Chief Secretary, DGP and Home Secretary.
