Punjab government has announced an increase of 3 per cent in the Dearness Allowance of its 8 lakh employees and pensioners today. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann made this announcement during a press conference in Chandigarh.
Terming it as a Diwali gift, he said the increased DA will be paid to the concerned with the December salary. He said that when his government came into power in 2022, the DA was 28 percent which has now gone up to 53 per cent. The Chief Minister said that the government has increased 11 per cent within two months.
