Five members of a family, including three children, were found dead under suspicious circumstances in the Rabupura area of Greater Noida, with preliminary findings suggesting possible food poisoning.
Police identified the deceased as Mahesh (37), his wife Lalita (35), their sons Laddu (11) and Sakshat (3), and daughter Mishti (7).
According to neighbours and Mahesh’s mother, the family had eaten noodles the previous night. However, the exact cause of death has not been established.
Police, forensic experts and a team from the Food Safety Department reached the spot following the incident. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examinations, while forensic teams are collecting evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
Police said further action would be taken based on the post-mortem findings and other scientific investigations.
