Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal chaired the 42nd meeting of the National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) today. The session focused on driving planned, coordinated, and balanced development across the National Capital Region (NCR).

In a social media update, the Minister highlighted that the discussions centered on accelerating key development projects and enhancing regional transportation and connectivity. A major focal point was strengthening institutional coordination among the member states: Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.

Delhi CM Advocates for Green Initiatives and State Collaboration

Speaking at the event, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta urged all member states to work collaboratively to ensure high-quality public services and a better quality of life for NCR citizens.

Emphasizing the government’s commitment to combating pollution, Gupta called for sustained, large-scale tree plantation drives to expand the region’s green cover. She stressed the importance of partnering with environmental experts, organizations, and local stakeholders to transform the NCR into a cleaner, greener, and ecologically balanced zone.

The high-level meeting was attended by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, alongside senior representatives and policymakers from Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
