Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri today met the United States’ Under Secretary of Defence for Acquisition and Sustainment Michael P. Duffey at Washington in U.S.
In a social media post, the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, Randhir Jaiswal, said that the meeting was aimed to advance India and U.S. major defence partnership. It focused on co-production, sustainment, and shared priorities in the Indo-Pacific region.
Mr Misri also met U.S. Under Secretary of Bureau of Industry and Security Jeffrey Kessler and U.S. Under Secretary for International Trade William Kimmitt. Mr Jaiswal said that the discussions focused on boosting bilateral trade and investment in strategic and emerging technologies, and exchanging views on emerging export control frameworks.
