Amid the evolving situation in West Asia, the government today said that adequate stocks of petrol and diesel are available at all petrol pumps across the country. In a statement, the government informed that on Friday, more than 54 Lakh LPG refills were delivered in the country. The government added that all refineries are operating at high capacity, with adequate crude inventories in place and sufficient stocks of petrol and diesel are being maintained. Further, commercial LPG allocation increased to 70 percent of pre-crisis levels.


Highlighting the steps taken towards ensuring safety of Indian nationals in the region, the government informed that around five lakh passengers have returned to India from the region since the 28th of last month. Around 85 non-scheduled flights are expected to operate today from various airports to India from the UAE. Travel of Indian nationals from Iran, Israel and Iraq is being facilitated via different countries. Meanwhile, missions and posts across the region are functioning round-the-clock with 24×7 helplines.


Underlining the safety and maritime operations, the government said that it has facilitated safe repatriation of over 938 Indian seafarers so far, including 25 in the last 24 hours.
