The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said it has been informed by Iran that the Shahid Rezayee Nejad Yellow Cake Production Facility, also known as the Ardakan facility, was attacked on Saturday.
According to the agency, no increase in off-site radiation levels has been detected so far. The IAEA said it is currently assessing the situation and reviewing details of the reported strike.
IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi reiterated his call for military restraint, warning that attacks near nuclear-related facilities could raise the risk of a serious nuclear accident.
