The Punjab Police, in close collaboration with central agencies, have unearthed a cross-border arms terror module in the border district Pathankot, today. Police have recovered 3 AK-47 rifles, 2 foreign made pistols and 78 live cartridges on an intelligence tip of. DIG, Border Range, Sandeep Goyal has confirmed that the cache of arms and ammunition has been recovered during a search operation. The weapons were smuggled from across the border by a Pakistan based leader of a banned terrorist organization, Babbar Khalsa International to spread terror in the Punjab. He said further investigation is on to find out those who brought the consignment as well as for whom it was meant.
