The IMD has predicted that maximum temperature in Jammu may cross even 44 degrees by May end. The day temperature in Jammu is recorded between 41 degrees to 42 degrees, it is expected to cross 44 degrees in coming days. The MeT department said, there will be no respite from the heat wave conditions in next few days as the maximum temperature may further rise. The heatwave over plains of Jammu Division with hot and dry weather over hilly districts of Jammu Division and plains of Kashmir Division is likely to continue during next 5 days.
