With no respite from the scorching heat in the region, the temperature in Jammu was yesterday recorded as seasons’ highest at 41.8 degrees Celsius. Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that the MeT department has predicted no significant weather activity till May 27 in the region and the weather will mainly remain dry in the region from today to 27th May.

Meanwhile, in view of the extreme hot weather conditions, the Directorate of School Education, Jammu has changed the school timing in Summer Zones of Jammu Division. All the Government as well as Private (recognized) schools up to Higher Secondary level falling in Summer Zones of Jammu Division shall observe school timing from 8 AM to 12 Noon with effect from today. However, the upward trend in the temperatures has prompted the local residents to seek early summer vacation in the schools of their wards.
