Haryana Congress has written a letter to Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya and sought time to meet him tomorrow to hand over a memorandum regarding the present political situation in the State.
In the letter, the Congress State Unit has said that the Deputy leader of Congress Legislature Party (CLP) Aftab Ahmed, Chief Whip of CLP B B Batra and other Congress leaders want to meet the governor to hand over the memorandum on the current political situation in Haryana.
Former Chief Minister Bhupender Singh Hooda today said in Bhiwani that the Congress delegation will meet the Governor and demand to impose presidential rule in the State and conduct Assembly polls at the earliest.
He said that all the 30 Congress MLAs are united and after the withdrawal of support by three independents the Government is in the minority now. He claimed that out of 88 MLAs, 45 MLAs are not with the government. Former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that the Congress has the support of 33 MLAs only and so many MLAs of Congress and JJP are in touch with them so the figure of 33 of Congress may go down further.
Meanwhile, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has said, if required, he will pass the floor test again.
