A decision to this effect was taken after discussions with the leaders of the two outfits and the Union Home Ministry representatives, led by Joint Secretary in-charge North-East Shambhu Singh in New Delhi on Thursday. The two militant groups are currently engaged in political dialogue with the Centre to settle their issues amicably. The last round of talk was held in Guwahati last week with the
Centre’s interlocutor, P C Haldar.

Meanwhile, two anti-talk faction NDFB militants were gunned down by Army during an encounter at Daimoguri in Kokrajhar district last night. Two pistols, three magzines and several rounds of live cartridges were recovered from the possession of the slain militants.
