According to the E T Lukose, the Director General of Income Tax (Investigation) of Kochi his two sons in law advocate PV Sreenijan, advocate Benny and brother KG Bhaskaran, who is former Special Government Pleader have been found to be having income disproportionate to their assets.

Authorities are yet to decide whether to probe Balakrishnan himself. E T Lukose told med persons that he could not say anything about the former Chief Justice, the Income Tax department had found that three of his relatives, including two sons-in-law and his brother, had possessed black money.

Mr Lukose said the I-T department was investigating how they had acquired the money and the Department would question them again.

Asked whether the I-T department would question Mr Balakrishnan, also, he said, “I cannot say anything now.”
