The flood situation is grim in Assam as more than 4,95,000 people are still reeling under the deluge across 22 districts. A total of 1366 villages of 58 revenue circles are affected due to flood, and 14091 hectares of crop area have been damaged across the state. One person lost his life in Tamulpur district.

According to Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), several embankments, roads, bridges, and other infrastructure have been damaged by flood waters in several districts.
State Government has opened 83 Relief camps and 79 relief distribution centers in flood-affected districts, and NDRF and SDRF teams have also been deployed for rescue and relief.
River Beki, Manas, Pagladiya, Puthimari, and Brahmaputra at Nematighat and Dhubri are flowing above the danger level.
