Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya today chaired a high-level meeting for reviewing the public health preparedness regarding heat waves across the country.

Briefing media after the meeting in New Delhi, Dr. Mandaviya said, it was decided that a five-member team of the Health Ministry, the India Meteorological Department, and the National Disaster Management Authority will visit the states which are affected by the heat waves.

He said Odisha, Chattisgarh, West Bengal, Telangana, Bihar, and Jharkhand are now witnessing heat waves conditions and a virtual meeting will be held tomorrow with Health Ministers and State Disaster Management Authorities officials of these states.
