RANCHI: Governor M O H Farooq on Thursday invited BJP’s chief ministerial candidate Arjun Munda to take oath on September 11.
Raj Bhavan sources said that the Governor has asked Munda to prove his majority in the assembly within seven days of taking oath.
The invitation came after Munda called on the Governor shortly after revocation of Presidents rule in Jharkhand.
Munda, who will head at a coalition comprising the BJP, JMM, JDU and AJSU, had staked claim on Tuesday after getting unconditional support from his allies.
Earlier the Union Cabinet recommended revocation of president’s rule in the state.
