Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupendra Yadav today released a young Tigress from Corbett National Park to Motichur range of Rajaji Tiger Reserve in Haridwar district.

The move is a part of a long-term plan to augment the Tiger population in the low-density area of Rajaji.

Speaking on the occasion the Union Minister said, this step will boost eco-tourism and benefit local communities by generating employment besides helping in conserving biodiversity.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal were also present on the occasion.
