Union Minister of State for Food Processing and Jal Shakti Prahlad Singh Patel reviewed the progress of Jal Jeevan Mission projects being implemented in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala today.
The Minister directed the officials to expedite the projects through formulating a comprehensive action plan.
Mr. Patel also instructed them to carry out Jal Jeevan projects at schools and anganwadis in the district.
The Minister reviewed the progress of Shuchitwa Mission and praised the authorities for their efforts in making the district open-defecation-free.
Lok Sabha member Anto Antony, District Collector Divya S. Iyer and other senior officials attended the meeting. The Union Minister visited the Sabarimala shrine and offered prayers, this evening.
