India lost 0-3 to Morocco in its second group-stage match in FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup 2022 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, Odisha last night.

After goalless first half, Morocco turned the tables in the second half as they took the lead from El Madani Doha. Yasmine Zouhir and Djennah Cherif added the second and third goal on 61 and 91 minutes respectively.

Earlier, India lost its opening match of the tournament against the USA on Tuesday by 0-8. On the same day, Brazil defeated Morocco by 1-0. India and Morocco are now out of quarterfinal contention. India will play Brazil in their final group match on October 17.

India is hosting the World Cup Football tournament for the first time which is being held between the 11th to 30th of October.
