Punjab Chief Minister-designate Bhagwant Mann on Monday resigned from the Lok Sabha. Mr. Mann has tendered his resignation from the post of MP to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. He represented Punjab’s Sangrur constituency.
His oath-taking ceremony will be held on March 16 at Khatkar Kalan, the ancestral village of legendary freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, in Nawanshahr district.
