Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that cities like Banaras have preserved the seeds of our culture. Addressing a public function in Varanasi on the occasion of 98th-anniversary celebrations of Sadguru Sadafaldeo Vihangam Yog Sansthan at Swarved Mahamandir Dham in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh Prime Minister elaborated on the glory and importance of Kashi. He said when we talk about the development of Banaras, it also forms the roadmap for the development of the whole of India.

The Prime Minister further said Sadguru Sadafal Dev has given the mantra of Swadeshi, and in the same spirit, the country has started the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan. He said the use of local products is being promoted through the Local for Vocal campaign. He also said our local products are gaining new strength and local is going global.

The Prime Minister further said the world is turning towards organic farming. He said it is the right time that our farmers connect to this campaign.

The Prime Minister urged citizens to make some resolutions. He appealed to people to educate their girl child and help them in their skill development. He also urged citizens to conserve water and keep the rivers and other water resources clean. The Prime Minister appealed to citizens to continuously work for cleanliness.

Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister chaired a conclave of Chief Ministers of BJP ruled states. BJP’s national president Jagat Prakash Nadda and national general secretary (organization) B.L.Santosh were also present in the conclave. The Chief Ministers shared governance-related best practices in their respective states. Earlier in the day, The Prime Minister also held an interaction with BJP workers. The Prime Minister was on a two-day visit to Varanasi.

During his two-day visit to Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended various functions. The Prime Minister inaugurated the Kashi Vishwanath Dham yesterday in a grand ceremony held at the premises of the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. The Prime Minister attended Ganga Aarti in the evening and late in the night till around 2 O’clock he inspected development works going on in his constituency. The Prime Minister along with the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh visited Banaras railway station and reviewed the ongoing development works there. The Prime Minister also visited the Kashi Vishwanath Dham in the night and interacted with the people of Varanasi.
