The Met Department has issued orange alert for seven districts of Kerala for the next two days, indicating heavy to very heavy rainfall.
The alert will remain valid for the districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki and Ernakulam.
Thunderstorms with lightning are very likely to occur at a few places in the state till the 5th of this month. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea till Friday.
