The low pressure lies over Vidarbha and adjoining Madhya Pradesh. An east-west Shear zone lies roughly around 15°latitude in Mid tropospheric levels and would remain for next two days, as per S. Stella, Director, IMD, Amaravathi.
She also says that under it’s influence, Light to moderate rains are very likely over many places of Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema with heavy rains at one or two places of Guntur, Krishna, West Godavari and East Godavari district’s during the next 24 hours.
The entire AP State has been experiencing moderate to heavy rain fall from the past 3 days.
An incessant rain fall is recorded in North coastal AP , particularly in Srikakulam and Vizianagaram Districts. Heavy rain fall is noticed in Krishna, SPS Nellore, Guntur and Godavari Districts from the past 24 hours.
