Border Security Force has handed over a Pakistani national to Pakistan Rangers On humanitarian grounds, who had crossed Indian territory inadvertently.
A BSF spokesman at Jalandhar HQ said that he was apprehended by Border Security troops of 144 batallion on 20th of August. When he reached upto border fencing after crossing the international boundary. He said,the Pak national was handed over to Pakistani Rangers yesterday night.
The spokesman said, in this year so far 9 inadvertent border crossers had been handed over to Pakistan Rangers by the BSF Punjab Frontier as a goodwill gesture.
