Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting and Youth affairs & sports Anurag Singh Thakur has said Himachal Pradesh deserves to showcase its rich art , culture and heritage. The Union Minister was addressing a Press conference in Shimla today as a part of his five day Maiden Jan Ashirwad yatra which began at Parwanoo in Himachal Pradesh, yesterday. He stated that Himachali rich heritage would be promoted to be recognized globally.

He added that there is immense scope for self-employment in the field of art and culture. He added that more space required to be created for the artisan to showcase the culture and heritage of the hill state properly with the significance they deserve.

Union Minister of Information & Broadcasting further said that special emphasis was being given to strengthen the pediatric care as it had been feared by the experts that the probable third wave might hit the children the most.

He said provision of Rs. 23,123 crores has been made to tackel the third wave.

In reply to a question regarding picking up talented kids to train them for Olympics like Japan, Russia and China he said if any such talent comes to his notice, that talent definitely would be picked up and trained appropriately.

The Union Minister said that it is an honor for him that he has been entrusted with the responsibility of representing Himachal Pradesh as a Union Minister.

He said that he would make all-out efforts to keep up the honor of the state and come up to the expectations of its people.

Earlier to this, Union Sports Minister also flagged of Fit India run organized by the Nehru Yuva Kendra at Peter Hoff Shimla, today.
