UNION Health Ministry said, the national recovery rate stands at 97.20 per cent. More than 45 thousand patients recovered during last 24 hours.
Till now, over two crore 99 lakh people have recovered from COVID-19 infection. India reported over 42 thousand new cases in last 24 hours. India’s active caseload currently at four lakh 55 thousand 33. Active cases constitute 1.48 per cent of total cases. Weekly Positivity Rate remains below five per cent and it is currently at 2.34 per cent. Daily positivity rate at 2.19 per cent and it is less than three per cent for 19 consecutive days.
One thousand two hundred six people have lost their lives due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. With this, the death toll due to the pandemic has reached four lakh seven thousand 145. Testing capacity has been substantially ramped up and more than 42 crore 90 lakh tests have been conducted till now. Yesterday, more than 19 lakh 55 thousand tests were conducted.
