Union Minister and senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad today criticised the Maharashtra Government and said, Uddhav Thackrey led government has lost its moral authority to govern.
Briefing reporters in New Delhi, Mr Prasad questioned the defence of Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in the alleged extortion case by NCP Chief Sharad Pawar.
Mr Prasad said it was the first time in the country’s history that a former police commissioner levelled a charge against a Home Minister.
The BJP leader also alleged that the Maharashtra government is not handing over the probe of Mansukh Hiren murder case to the National investigating Agency despite requests as the Agency is entitled to it.
