In Maharashtra, over five lakh 73 thousand health and frontline workers have been vaccinated so far. According to an official from the State Health Department, 5,149 beneficiaries were given jabs of indigenously made Covaxin more than 37 thousand health and frontline workers were vaccinated yesterday in Maharashtra. Mumbai suburban is leading in vaccination drive as 61,177 beneficiaries have been inoculated so far, followed by Mumbai with 29,356 and Ahmednagar with 23,788.
A total of 809 sessions were organized yesterday across the state where 37 thousand 94 beneficiaries were inoculated with Covishield vaccine whereas 129 were given Covaxin.
The Health Department data stated that more than five lakh health care workers and over 70 thousand frontline workers have taken the jabs of COVID-19 preventive vaccines in the state till date. Meanwhile, the Maharashtra Government today said that all incoming passengers from Kerala will have to present their RT-PCR negative test reports. Similar travel restrictions are already in place for four states – Delhi, Rajasthan, Goa and Gujarat.
