The numbers of COVID-19 cases in Madhya Pradesh climbed up to more than one lakh 10 thousand after record more than two thousand 544 new cases were reported in the past 24 hours. With 28 patients succumbing to the infection, the death toll rose to two thousand 35.

Meanwhile, as per the State Health Bulletin, two thousand 412 Corona virus patients were discharged from the hospitals taking the number of recovered cases in the state to around 86 thousand 30. There are now 22 thousand 646 active cases in Madhya Pradesh.

Jewellery traders and shopkeepers in the worst-affected Indore city have decided to observe a partial lockdown in order to prevent crowding in markets amid the rise in COVID-19 cases. Basant Soni, the Vice President of the Indore Silver-Gold Gems Merchants Association informed that they have decided to keep our shops open from Monday to Friday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. and shut them completely on weekends. As many as 10 bullion traders have died of Corona virus in the city in the last six months. Indore has so far recorded 20 thousand 383 COVID-19 cases, including 509 fatalities.
