Karnataka conducted 40,848 COVID tests today and 5,938 tests among them were confirmed positive. At the same time 4,996 persons were discharged after recovery today. The State has reported 68 deaths due to COVID virus.
Bengaluru urban district leads the State in terms of positive cases with 2,126 new COVID positive cases reported today. Ballari, Belagavi, Davangere, Kalburgi, Koppal, Shivamogga are other districts that have reported high caseloads.
The State recovery rate is around 67.9 per cent and case fatality rate is 1.7 per cent. The positivity rate since the last 15 days in the State is 14.4 per cent and 13.8 per cent since the last three days. The doubling time of the cases is 21 days as against the national average of 26 days.
