699 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Rajasthan during the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative tally to 64,676 in the state. The number of active cases has also gone up to 14 thousand 684. Ten deaths were reported due to COVID infection taking the state’s toll to 908.
The positive cases are being increased in the state, but the fatality rate has been decreased in the state.
Maximum 224 persons tested positive in Alwar district today while 209 cases have been reported from Bikaner. For the first time, 59 different places in Capital Jaipur reported 247 cases yesterday, indicating that the virus has spread to almost all parts of the city.
The State Government has decided to increase beds with oxygen facility at all the district hospitals and hospitals attached to medical colleges. Government has also decided to motivate nursing personnel working in night shifts.
Health Minister Dr. Raghu Sharma has said that Corona cases have increased in the state at a few places due to super spreaders. He said that random sampling is being done of milk vendors, vegetable vendors and shopkeepers so that spread of infection could be controlled.
