Tamil Nadu Health Minister Dr C Vijayabhaskar has urged the public not to get panicky about the COVID-19 situation.
Speaking to media persons at Pudukkottai, near Trichy, the Minister pointed out that the Central government agencies have confirmed that there is no community transmission of COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu.
Dr Vijayabhasker has also asked people to be careful and vigilant and exhorted them to follow hand hygiene as well as social distancing.
Earlier, the Minister inspected various COVID-19 facilities in and around Pudukkottai.
