The total cases of COVID-19 detected so far have reached up to 25,660 in Gujarat with 510 new cases reported during the last 24 hours. Quoting the State Health Department, 22 patients have lost their lives taking the total death toll of COVID-19 in the state up to 1,592.
In all, 389 patients were also discharged yesterday from the hospitals after recovery. Following the discharge of 389 patients yesterday, the total number of patients recovered from COVID-19 has gone up to 17,829.
According to official sources, out of 6,239 active cases in the state, conditions of 6,178 are stable while 61 patients are on ventilator support. Out of 510 new cases, the maximum 317 cases reported from Ahmedabad alone.
Apart from this, 82 new cases reported from Surat while 43 cases reported from Vadodara. Sources said that about three lakh 8 thousand tests have been carried out in the state till date.
More than two lakh 6 thousand persons in the state have been kept under home quarantine as a precautionary measure.
