The Super Cyclone Amphan moved north-north East wards with a speed of 14 kmph during the past six hours and lay centred at 0530 hrs of today over West Central Bay of Bengal, about 480 km nearby south of Paradeep, 630 km South -south west of Digha of West Bengal.

The Cyclone is likely to move north north eastwards across north west Bay of Bengal and cross between Digha of West Bengal and Hatiya Islands of Bangladesh, close to Sundarbans during aftrnoon or evening of tomorrow 20th May as a very severe cyclonic storm with sustained wind speed of 155- 165 kmph gusting to 185 kmph.

Under the influence of this, light to moderate rains are likely over coastal Andhra pradesh and Yanam in islolated places during the next 24 hours.
