Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Nitin Gadkari today announced that tiny earthen pots or “kulhad ” will allowed to serve tea at around 400 railway stations across the country. He said that it was being done to promote traditional small industries.

He was addressing Swayam Rojgar Prerna Abhiyan, organised by MSME Development Institute and Swayam Foundation Nagpur.

Mr Gadkari said, his Ministry has discussed with the Railway Ministry the use of earthen pots in order to provide employment to pottery workers.

Nitin Gadkari also said that the government has decided to increase the import duty on incense sticks by 30 per cent to benefit domestic producers.
