Tripura gets its direct flight service from today: Chief Minister flag off the first ever service.

In a new development in air transportation for Tripura state, the Chief Minister of the state Biplab Kumar Deb flagged off Delhi -Agartala direct flight service at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport today.

The Civil Aviation Ministry has taken up the step after several demands from the state government.

Chief Minister in his tweet conveyed his gratitute to the Prime Minister for fulfilling the long standing demand. He said that direct flight would be helpful in attracting more tourist, enhancing business and all other sectors.

Earlier, Chief Minister had requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Suresh Babu for direct flight service on Agartala-Delhi sector. Indigo Flight having capacity of 180 passengers will operate daily.
