Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said that those responsible for Sonbhadra firing incident will not be spared. He alleged that anomalies during Congress and Samajwadi party regime are responsible for such a shocking incident.
The Chief Minister visited Umbha village of Ghorawal tehsil and met victims of the firing incident and assured them of every possible help from the government. He announced 18 lakh rupees ex-gratia for families of the victims and 2.5 lakh rupees for injured persons.
Mr Yogi said that each family of the victims will be allotted a house and senior citizens in these families will be granted pension. He also announced setting up of an anganwadi centre, a school with hostel facility and a fire police station in their village.
Chief Minister reached Umbha village along with the DGP and the Chief Secretary of the state to meet family members of the victims of the firing incident which claimed 10 lives on the 17th of this month. He assured villagers that nobody will touch the land on which agricultural work is being done by tribals for decades. The Chief Minister also met the injured persons at Sonbhadra. 29 accused, including the prime suspect, have been arrested in this case.
