The BJP President, Amit Shah has reiterated that NRC would be launched throughout the country to deal with illegal infiltrations if his party voted to power. Addressing an election rally at Ghatal in West Midnapore District of West Bengal this afternoon he said that the BJP Government will pass the citizenship amendment bill at Parliament and will give citizenship to all minority refugees residing in India.

BJP President claimed that the Narendra Modi led Government at the Centre has given 4 lakh 34 thousands 800 crore rupees to the West Bengal in last 5 years as against UPA’s 1 lakh 32 thousand crore rupees. He also blamed Mamta Banerjee for stalling development activities in the State. Mr. Shah is also scheduled to address election rallies at Bishnupur in Bankura and West Midnapore Districts today.

Refuting BJP’s charges, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that the NDA Government has failed to fulfill its commitment to the people. Addressing an election rally at Ranibandh in Bankura District this afternoon, She said that the State Government has done enormous work for the welfare of residence of Jangal Mahal besides turning it Maoists free areas.
