Prime Minister and Senior BJP leader Narendra Modi today said that he was discharging his duties as a ‘chowkidar’ and will not allow anyone to misuse the public money.
He said, in 2014, the people trusted and gave the opportunity to the NDA government with a full majority to serve the nation.
Mr Modi said, after assuming the new responsibility, he tried his best to protect the nation’s wealth from the corrupt. Prime Minister said this while interacting with people across the country at Main Bhi Chowkidar programme through video conferencing from New Delhi.
Mr Modi said, whatever his government has achieved in the last five years, it is because of people’s participation. He said Swachhata Abhiyan has become has become a mass movement due to the support of people.
Mr Modi said, everyone has his or her priorities but we should decide that nation has to be the topmost priority. Saluting the Country’s brave soldiers, Prime Minister said that Balakot air strike was carried out by the Jawans and not by him and gave full credit to the armed forces.

Prime Minister said, he has full faith in the country’s armed forces and that is why he gave them a free hand to act. He said, India is suffering from terrorism for the past 40 years and the people know who is responsible for it. He said, the government decided to attack the terror camp from where the terrorists are operating.
Prime Minister said, since 2014, the government is taking stringent action against those involved in corruption. He said, due to this effort in the right direction, the corrupt are now facing the heat. Mr Modi said, the principal of the NDA government is to honour the honest and the government has ensured that honest taxpayers do not face any difficulty.
He promised to the countrymen that those involved in scams will be punished. Prime Minister also said, when 130 crore people of the country decide to take the nation to new heights, no force can stop India from becoming a developed nation.
He said, the success of Mission Shakti is a big achievement of the country and due to our scientists, India has entered the elite club of space power. Mr Modi said, the world must know the strength of the country.
Hitting out at the Congress, Mr Modi alleged that the opposition is spreading lies and misleading the people. He said that Congress’ lies were seasonal as when the election comes they spread rumours.
